LOOKING FOR SPOTTED PHOTOGRAPHERS

TylerPaper.com is seeking applicants for the position of freelance photographer for the rapidly growing “Spotted” photo gallery section of its Web site.

Freelance photographers will receive assignments from the Spotted administrator, and will respond by submitting 100 or more usable photos from home via direct upload to Spotted.

The successful candidate will: - Have a Digital SLR camera (preferably with several interchangeable lenses);
- Personal Computer (high-speed Internet connection preferable);

TylerPaper.com, the Web site of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, has an immediate opening for the position of the Web site’s “Spotted” Administrator.

This person will coordinate and manage the day-to-day functions of the “Spotted” portion of the Web site, on which newspaper and Web site employees, freelancers and citizens post their photos of all kinds of events on what has become the East Texas community’s online photo gallery. This person is responsible for ensuring that the thousands of photos being posted each week on Spotted are screened for appropriateness and are set live as soon as is possible, along with coordinating and recruiting freelance photographers.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• The ability to photograph of a wide range of subjects and events using high-end SLR equipment; sports experience a big plus;
• Excellent time and resource management skills; • The ability to multi-task and adjust quickly to changing needs and events;
• Good record-keeping and administrative skills, including producing required weekly and monthly reports;
• A plan for developing “You Spotted,” the community portion of Spotted, to its fullest potential;
• The ability to recruit and develop freelance photographers;
• The ability to interact and develop positive work relationships with key contacts in the East Texas community.
