Bill Hammond is quoted as saying: “The TWC should provide responsible stewardship of a fund created by the state’s only payroll-related tax, instead, literally millions of heard-earned employer dollars are being wasted with bureaucratic inaction.”

He must have had a change of heart about employer taxes - before he was appointed to TEC, he had never paid a penny in tax owed by his company Dallas Tent and Awning.
