If we allow Joann Fleming to micromanage the EDS like she has been allowed to do so with the county, heaven help us. Fleming would much rather be a totalitarian, than an elected politician. She is unwilling and incapable of compromise. She stirrs up more trouble than anyone I have seen other than her good friend Sharon Emmert. She gives all of us in Smith County a bad name.

There are a few in county government, but she is not one of them.

As for micromanagement, would that include placement of stop signs? road striping? trying to rearrange the road repair schedule for PR? rifling through email?

As for bad names, those are earned, her's is in much better shape than most.

You could even say it's good.
