What people are forgetting or ignoring about this smoking issue is this: it is not the responsibility of this city council to "babysit" this city on health issues.

Kevin said it perfectly - we don't need our city council handling issues like these. Citizens need to take care of themselves and not depend on local and national government to do it for them.

That is exactly what this smoking ban is all about - not the the inconveince ce of smoking or the health risks. Heck, everyone knows it is bad for you to smoke.
