There are things out there worse than smoking in restaurants and bars.
I believe one of the reasons everyone is complaining about the smoker is that you can see him or her smoking and of course the smell.
But do you know who might be sitting at the next booth or table? No, you don't have a clue. You can't smell them or see what they do.
It could be your worse nightmare. A child molester, a rapist, a stalker, a murderer, a drug dealer that sells to your kids.
Come on people wake-up it's time to start worrying about these types of things in our world, not someone who likes to smoke a cigarette.
The city council should not have a right to say what we do.

You compare the simple smoking ordinance to crimes like murders, molesters, stalkers, drug dealers and rapists? Talk about way out in left field! Trust me when I tell you they will still be caught and dealt with regardless of the smoking ordinance existence.

As for the city council, we voted them in office to make decisions on the future of our city. This includes the overall health of the public. Smoking has been proven to cause cancer, enduces asthma and many other pulminary diseases and disorders.

For those who use the gas powered vehicles argument I ask you this. When was the last time you sat in a restaurant trying to eat while a car was running in the booth next to you?

The council has every right to pass this ordinance through the power we entrusted them with. Don't like it then do your best to vote them out.

I am sick and tired of hearing/reading about the whiners who can't believe the smoking ordinace passed. GET OVER IT!! It passed and it is not going away! We aren't going to vote on it because the council that we voted in to office and that represnts us already has!
