May 21: No Compassion for Kennedy
By now we all know about Senator Ted Kennedy's illness. I won't be a hypocrite and say I liked him and respected his political career. Respect is to be earned, not bought or acquired.

I can't muster up any compassion or sadness about this -- to me, he is just another 76-year-old man who was just diagnosed with cancer and drove his car into a river, leaving the female passanger to drown. He waited for over 10 hours before he called for assistance so he could get his story straight.

It is bad enough to hold such a sick opinion of a fellow human, but to feel the need to express it in writing publicly is disgusting.

As I have stated - it is just my opinion. If you find it offensive or sick, I really don't care.

This closed minded, bitter, hypocritical attitude is one of the reasons I rejoiced when I left Tyler a few years ago. Nobody is perfect, but nobody deserves this awful type of cancer.

So I take it that, if it were a "god fearing Republican" you would feel differently?

I agree that any type of cancer for anyone is a sad situation for them and their families. having myself had 2 grandparents pass away from 2 seperate cancers i know but i also agree that just because he is someone famous he should not be treated any differently than the millions who are diagnosed with cancer each year. yeah he has cancer its sad it sucks but so do millions of other people and are we reading stories about them NO
