Steve - You paid payroll tax on the savings and investments you now rely on in retirement as you earned it. Now with the fair tax, you will pay for Social Security again as part of the 30% NATIONAL SALES TAX.

IS THIS NOT DOUBLE TAXATION?

Yes it is! But, I am more concerned for my children, grand children and all future generations than the little bit extra I may pay; plus, the prebate will offset all the tax I pay on my social security income.
