Yes, I am well aware that in East Texas you hunt and you eat meat. There is also a large number of vegetarians and vegans in East Texas.

I don't judge others for what they eat and the lifestyle choices they make. My husband is the biggest meat-eater I know, and I wouldn't change a thing about him. I believe every choice is a personal one.

I just don't enjoy the sight of slaughtered animals in my newspaper. It's gross. I also don't need the reminder of how much money people spend on hunting safaris, but I certainly don't expect the newspaper to cater to me and what I want or don't want to see - I was mearly contributing my opinion - which is exactly what the comment section is for.

And thank you for your "tree hugger" comment - that is the best compliment you could give me!
