Tyler is on the conservative side but as you can see from this website there are plenty of liberals in this area.


I wouldn't say 'plenty'. You can see that there are only 3 or 4 on this site.
While I agree with the Rev that Christians can be hypocritical, I wouldn't say it's exclusive to Christians or East Texas Christians. It's human nature. But I suppose it may be human nature to believe in comforting myths like Christianity as well.
