Maybe it was the shoes.... Were you wearing boots or sandals? biggrin Seriously, Tyler is not as different than many cities in any country. You may have caught people on the wrong day or during election. We tend to get caught up with ourselves during elections. Maybe our political leaders could devise some sort of communication for outsiders during election time: "Warning, speak at your own risk".

I'm not trying to make light of your feelings but in any town you will find people who may not particularly care about strangers.
