I agree, my best friend is in a wheel chair and she has been since she was 3 years old and she is 46 now. When we would go places I would get so mad I would actually say to people can we please have that spot, and they would say I dont think so. Alot of times it is a person that is using someone elses car or truck to park close. I was at Walmart one night waiting on my daughter to come out from shopping and I set back and just watched all who used the parking spots, not one of them were handicaped. I have seen this happen many times . I will tell you this, they don't give tickets like they use too, when a person parks there. If they are truly handicaped and need to park there, then they deserve it, but these women and men that use their grandparents or mothers and dads cars to get up close, need to at least have the person with them. I know for a fact that if the Tyler PD would drive through the parking lots, they would have plenty of tickets and that would bring some money to Tyler.
