Bill,

You seem like a very intelligent man. What is with you latest letter to the web editor? If you buy a $100 worth of food, or any product for that matter, the tax will be $23 for a total of $123. If you buy $77 worth of food, your total will be $94.71.

I am all for some type of flat tax system. This would cut billions of dollars out of our federal budget. Just think of how many people the IRS employees alone that would no longer be needed. It also makes it fair because it takes the bulk of the tax burden off of the middle class and shares it equally with everyone.

As for why this reply was written here, the Tyler Paper hasn't implemented a reply section for editorials that I have found. Sorry in advance for anyone this bothers.
