Pete,

The one thing you said in your post that makes sense is that there is a lot of campaign rhetoric. The rhetoric applies to both sides. McCain voted against additional funding for troops because it included a time table for withdraw. Obama voted against funding for troops because it did not include a time table for withdraw. The point is that anyone can take specific facts while leaving out other facts to make a person look bad. Neither McCain or Obama are bad people, both love this country, and both have the best of intentions. There is one fact, however, that cannot be disputed or manipulated which is that Bush and his policies have driven this country into the ditch. Another fact that is true based on McCain's on admission is that he has supported everything Bush has done 95% of the time.

The two most important issues facing Americas are the economy and our national security. McCain's economic plan was developed by a man that says our are complaints about the economy makes as a nation of whiners. McCain has also admitted with his own words that he does not understand the economy. He also states the he would not agree to meet with any foreign leaders including our allies. How does this make McCain the best candidate to lead us out of our current situation and to improve our standing in the world? McCain will do nothing more than Bush has done for the last eight years. So lets all put the rhetoric aside and look at what we know, McCain is Bush and that is not the best choice pull our country out of the ditch.
