I won’t pretend to speak for Dianne H. however “heart warming sentiment” is exactly what has gotten us into this ridiculous immigration crisis. We have looked the other way when it comes to controlling our borders. We have not enforced the laws and allowed millions and millions of people to come here.

Now, if you were to ask me those three questions here are my answers:

Trey,
We could start with the ones who have their Mexican flags so proudly flying outside their houses.
Then get the ones who have the mexican flags flying on their cars. This is America...love it (and pledge allegiance to it) or leave it!
Next, we offer free classes to learn english, get the ones who don't want to learn.
Go to the free clinics , then to the welfare office, WIC and all our other programs for tax paying citizens.
If they do not have the proper id or green card send 'em packing.
Give them the option of fighting for our country, if they will, give them the incentive of becoming a citizen. There are ways this stuff can be handled, I sure don't understand why its not.

Glenda you make some excellent points. The illegal immigrant problem and the cost has been placed on the back of the working Americans for years. There are people that have been in this country illegally for over 20 yrs that have NEVER learned to speak English. And yet, I personally have been turned down for jobs that I otherwise qualified for, because of one simple thing, I could NOT speak Spanish. Yes, discrimination is alive and well in this country against the people that are legal citizens. NO ONE and I mean NO ONE should be required to speak a FOREIGN language in their own country to get a job unless they are applying to be a translator. School taxes, county hospital taxes, the cost of car insurance for those of us that actually carry it, all things that are through the roof and in large part because of the illegal alien problem.
If you have ever seen the reports on TV of the swearing in ceremony's for citizenship, people from all over the world come to this country and they LEGALLY apply for citizenship and they all learn to speak ENGLISH! We don't hire people to speak vietnamese, Chinese, Russian or french to work at our insurance agency's. county offices, and Dr's offices. And I am betting the majority of the people in this country illegally will not apply for citizenship and go through the steps it takes to become legal. They don't want to learn English, they don't want to pay taxes and they don't want to but car insurance. They want it just how they have it. Something for nothing.
