No, you probably can't reduce the price by a few cents per gallon, and yes, pricing will enforce conservation. You can slow the rate of increase. You can put more of the business back in US hands. You can increase domestic supply. We do get lot more than just energy from oil.

You may have to kick a few radical dems out of congress, end the moratorium on offshore drilling, open up oil shale and ANWR, but it can be done.

And if you use every excuse you can come up with to delay or obstruct opening these options up, you're part of the problem, not the solution.

Radical environmentalism usually fails.
