Yes the cash only will effect my husband David and I. The fact that all of our pay checks are direct deposit to a bank in Tyler. We never have that much cash on us at all. Credit card is the only way to go.

Post Subject: Ripple Effect

Anytime there is a change in practice of any type it creates a ripple effect. Changing gas stations to cash only would affect so many people , it might be in small ways , but all those small things add up to BIG things.
Many people get thier pay direct deposited into a bank account , so they dont have cash on hand. This would create a bigger line at the banks and the ATM's for people trying to get thier cash just for gas. Then , what if its late and the bank is closed ? You would spend that gas driving to an open ATM . Then there are ATM fees . At most banks one of the requirements is usually direct deposit to have a free checking account . So you cant stop the direct deposit just to get your check so you will have cash on hand. Where the gas stations might save a few bucks by banning cards , it will be spent by us consumers somewhere else trying to get the cash or get to the cash to get gas . It might just be a mile out of the way to get to the bank , but think of how many times you get gas per month .... Those one mile trips add up quickly , and with gas still rising thats an expense Nobody needs ......
