Using Mr. Reddell’s logic, one would tend to think that he does not believe Mr. McCain’s claim to be a Christian also. Because there are no absolute facts in Senator McCain’s background would bear it out that would cause him to believe such claim? It would seem that this logic is based on Senator Obama’s parents notwithstanding that his grandparents may have also influenced Senator Obama. No, Mr. Reddell emphasizes credibility on Senator Obama’s absent father as if some innate religious training is assumed through birth. If we further stretch this logic, no one can become a Christian unless one is born in a Christian environment. Which of course would make any attempts by evangelist as being in vain. It would also limit the power of Christianity. I would that people would just say, “I’m not voting for him because I don’t want to or don’t like him” rather than make up non-essential reasons. It is okay if you don’t want to vote for the man but don’t discredit his faith regardless of “your” doubt in his sincerity.
