I think businesses are avoiding talking about something important when it comes to this vote. Yes, they will save thousands of dollars in paperwork and so on....and money saved going to county line liquor stores to get their supplies. So what if beer trucks and liquor trucks come through Tyler?

The Tyler infrastructure is already congested and ridiculous now as it is. I really don't want to have to manevour around these vehicles to get where I am going. Also, I don't want so much blantant alcoholic beverage advertising every where I look. If I want a drink, I'll go get one.

But the big thing that gets me is how restaurants avoid talking about the extra profit they plan to pocket by cutting out the middle man and getting supplies direct from wholesalers. Or so they think. Just because they no longer have to spend the money to drive to get their supplies doesn't mean they still won't have to spend a substantial amount of extra. In order to service the new "wet" area, beer companies will have to add the extra price somewhere. Gasing up more diesel trucks, paying for more employees and making a further drive to Tyler, sure prices will increase. Which will in turn...effect the consumer. The consumer might even end up paying more for their favorite drinks at a restaurant because of this, b/c restaurants will cover their costs and still maintain their profit margin.

It's always never about the consumer, it's always about them.
