You need to read my post to Kevin Hampton. At no time did I say the kids at John Tyler were dumb and poor minorities. You made that statement not me.

It is a reality that this country, not just Tyler, is expecting less and less our own young people. We continue to make exceptions and excuses as to why more kids are failing. This hurts the kids that do care to learn and do care about their future. Our teachers face an uphill battle every day in our schools. If the IB program is not working, then pull it. I am sure that they have a plan in place for these gifted kids.

There are thousands of incredibly bright students in the TISD - however I have seen first hand where teachers are forced to work with students that do not want to be in school, don't care to learn and are disruptive in their classrooms. Not just at John Tyler but at REL also.

I am fully educated on the subject - I have been educated on the subject since my kids have been in the TISD.

I am not the bad guy here, Dan.

Of course Mrs Lockridge these conversations are not just one on one and I agree I may have been venting to others and a general feeling I get from the public as well, so if I am wrong in my assumptions of your feelings I am man enough to apologies.
That being said I am glad to know you feel educated about JT, Its needs and its concerns. So I do not expect to see you at the meeting (Of course you are welcome) The invite still goes out to all the other readers especially those in the JT community.
As far as the "bad guy" here good lord we could point fingers all day and get no where. There are a lot of bad guys out there. I for one will raise my kids as best I can and if I get the chance to help another kid that needs it I will certainly take the opportunity
