I was sadden this morning to hear about the death of Lt. Gary Lile. I retired as Court Administrator of the 241st District Court for over 25 years and was Secretary of the Smith County Peace Officers Association for 18 years, I worked very closely with all the Law Enforcement community. Gary was a fine man and a good friend. He will be remembered for his since of humor as well as being a good person. He will be missed.
