A.M. UPDATE: Gregg County Justice of the Peace In critical condition; wife charged in shooting

Gregg County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Sam Lawson was hospitalized Saturday, and his wife Ina was arrested, following a shooting at their south Longview home, according to Longview police. Mr. Lawson is in critical condition at Good Shepherd Medical Center, according to our news partners at CBS 19. Police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said police were called to the Lawsons' home in the 2400 block of Pam Street at about 11 PM Saturday. Police said the two had fought during the evening, and eventually Ina went to get a gun. She shot her husband and then called police. Ina Lawson is in the Gregg County Jail.***
