Applications due March 23 for Coterie scholarship

Tyler Music Coterie’s Hambrick/Mueller Young Musician of the Year Scholarship auditions will take place April 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, said Allene Parish, scholarship chairman.
Applicants must be a 2013 graduating high school senior who will be entering college as a music major and live within 65 miles of Tyler.
Applications are due March 23. The winner will receive $1,200 and become eligible to receive $500 per semester scholarship at The University of Texas at Tyler or $250 per year at Tyler Junior College.
The Young Musician of the Year will be presented in recital at the May meeting of the Tyler Music Coterie.
