Rusk County Sheriff searching for man wanted for indecency with child

The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help them find a man wanted for indecency with a child.
The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help them find a man wanted for indecency with a child.
Lyndon Jaye Hughes, 48, is also wanted for burglary of a building and skipping bond, Sgt. David Roberts said. The offenses occurred around 2010.
Roberts said authorities thought they had a tip of where he was, but he was not there.
He said he believes Hughes is still in Texas but not necessarily in the Rusk County area. He has family here locally, and they have cooperated with authorities, he said.
Hughes is described as 5-foot-7, 175 pounds with hazel eyes and brown hair.
Rusk County Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to Hughes’ arrest.
