Party chairman to address Cherokee County GOP Club
Staff Reports

The Cherokee County Republican Club is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hong Kong Buffet Restaurant, 1644 S. Jackson St., Jacksonville.

WOMEN VOTERS
The Tyler/Smith County League of Women Voters will hold its final event in a series of Great Decision discussions at noon Wednesday at the Tyler Public Library. The event is co-sponsored by the Tyler Public Library and the American Association of University Women.

On Wednesday, University of Texas at Tyler Political Science professor Amentahru Wahlrab will discuss Chinese interests in Africa. Should China’s growing emphasis on political ties and natural resource extraction impact U.S. relations with African nations?

GRASSROOTS
Hideaway Grassroots America will meet Thursday at The Lodge at Hideaway.

Robert Kecseg and his son Ross will discuss “The Math Problem: the Root Cause of America’s Social, Economic, and Political Challenges.” Robert Kecseg has an extensive background in securities and capital management and was named to Money Magazine’s first list of “All-Pro Stockbroker,” according to the release.

Ross Kecseg’s professional career includes health care consulting and, more recently, consumer research analytics. He personally is a grassroots conservative dedicated to Texas nullification and Constitutional restoration, according to the release.


WE THE PEOPLE
Grassroots America — We the People will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Cornerstone Church Assembly of God, 9107 Paluxy Drive in Tyler.

Tyler City Manager Mark McDaniel will discuss “Blue Print Business Planning: How the city of Tyler Sets Priorities & Achieves High Standards.”

Lunches will be available for purchase or attendees may bring their own. The public is welcome.
