Passport event planned in Golden community

The Golden community in Wood County will host a passport event in honor of National Passport Day.
March 9 has been dubbed as “a national passport acceptance and outreach event,” according to a news release.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., workers will hand out passport information and accept passport applications at the post office, 5785 Farm-to-Market Road 779.
U.S. citizens must present a valid passport when entering the United States by air, the release states. Citizens traveling from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda at land borders and sea ports must present passport books, cards or other approved travel documents.
