Police: Woman confirmed dead in 1-vehicle wreck

A woman was confirmed dead at the intersection of Loop 323 and Old Jacksonville Highway Wednesday night. Lt. Rusty Jacks of the Tyler Police Department said the crash happened about 9 p.m.
According to reports from officials on the scene, one vehicle crashed into a light pole in front of a local business. Police on the scene said they are not releasing the identity of the victim until family members can be notified. Lt. Jacks said he believes it to be a hit and run.
