Cherokee County man admits to accidentally shooting self on lunch break
The victim in a Cherokee County shooting admitted to investigators the wound was self-inflicted.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office said there were inconsistencies in Garret Scott Curtis's account of what happened and evidence, which lead them to believe the story may have been fabricated, according to a new release from the department.
Curtis told investigators he fabricated facts in his story and the wound he suffered was self-inflicted, the release states.
No charges are pending at this time.
