Tyler council tables requests by three businesses to sell alcohol
The Tyler City Council voted unanimously at their meeting this morning to table a request by three Tyler retail establishments for exceptions to code restrictions which currently forbid them to sell alcohol.
Council members said they need to go back and study the statute on the distance requirements between retail outlets and churches and schools.
The three businesses affected are Sam’s Club, 2025 SSW Loop; CEFCO Convenience Stores on South Broadway Avenue; and Supermercado Monterrey, 510 SW Loop.
