P.M. UPDATE: Johnny Football; basketball to make your heart feel good; Lindale's Shark Tank

Is Johnny Football headed to court? A company representing Texas A&M Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel has filed a lawsuit to stop the sale of T-shirts using his "Johnny Football" nickname. The lawsuit seeks damages for alleged trademark infringement and reimbursement for court fees and other compensation. It was filed by Manziel's company, JMAN2 Enterprises LLC, against Eric Vaughan of Fairview, Texas. Vaughn owns a website selling T-shirts that read "Keep Calm and Johnny Football."

The Tyler City Council voted unanimously at their meeting this morning to table a request by three Tyler retail establishments for exceptions to code restrictions which currently forbid them to sell alcohol. Council members said they need to go back and study the statute on the distance requirements between retail outlets and churches and schools. The three businesses affected are Sam's Club, 2025 SSW Loop; CEFCO Convenience Stores on South Broadway Avenue; and Supermercado Monterrey, 510 SW Loop.

A baskettball team in El Paso is making national headlines after a story about their team ran on the local news. No, it wasn't a story about how far they've gone in the playoffs or a crazy three point shot. It's a story about a team, and the opposing team, showing support to a member of their team with a disability. Coronado High School Thunderbirds student Mitchell Marcus was named team manager because of his developmental disorder, which keeps him off the court. On the last game of the regular season, coach Peter Morales told Mitchell to suit up, he's going in. Check out this touching video.

And finally, From iReporter BriAnn Thompson comes this photo of Van High School students Lacie Simpson and Amanda Lopez reenacting their own version of the television show Shark Tank, while teachers acted as investors last week.
