Showers likely today
An upper-level low pressure system has been moving toward Texas and will drag a cold front into our area this afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will cross East Texas and move into Louisiana and Arkansas today. Some of the storms could be severe with damaging thunderstorm winds the major threat along and south of Interstate 20. Winds will turn from the west this afternoon and increase to 15 to 25 mph with 30 mph gusts. High temperatures will be in the mid-60s this afternoon.
