Third Retail Summit set for Thursday
East Texas retailers will have the chance to learn about marketing through social media Thursday at the third annual Retail Summit.
The University of Texas at Tyler College of Business and Technology and Center for Retail Enterprises will hold the 2013 Retail Summit from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the UT Tyler Ornelas Activity Center, 3402 Old Omen Road.
“Summit attendees will enjoy listening to guest speaker Shama Kabani discuss marketing through social media,” Dr. Harold Doty, dean of the College of Business and Technology, said in a prepared statement. “Each attendee will receive a free copy of her best-selling book, ‘The Zen of Social Media Marketing.’”
Cost is $25 per person and includes lunch.
The Center for Retail Enterprises is dedicated to providing East Texas retailers with continuing education and professional development. High quality faculty- and student-based consulting is available during the fall and spring semesters.
