Discount Tire adding second Tyler location

Discount Tire is constructing a second location in Tyler.
Discount Tire spokesman Joseph Valdez said the second Tyler store, at 9098 S. Broadway Ave., is expected to open in June.

Discount Tire spokesman Joseph Valdez said the second Tyler store, at 9098 S. Broadway Ave., is expected to open in June.
The company filed a building permit in January for a 9,842-square-foot facility at 9098 S. Broadway Ave. for $750,000. Jamail & Smith Construction, of Houston, is the contractor.
Valdez said no other information would be provided about the new store until the project gets closer to completion.
Discount Tire’s current store is at 3910 S. Broadway Ave.

The private company does business under the trade name Discount Tire in most of the U.S. and America’s Tire in Oregon, Washington and California. Valdez said there are 222 Discount Tire stores in Texas.
