Gregg County to welcome Vietnam vets with memorial at fair grounds

The public is invited to the Gregg County Fair Grounds to view a Vietnam memorial and welcome home a group of Vietnam veterans Saturday morning.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the fairgrounds in Longview, 100 Grande Boulevard.
A flag line will welcome the veterans and the event will feature a Vietnam moving wall, Vietnam memorial combat photography by Bob Spangler and other entertainment, according to information from a news release.
Governor Rick Perry, Congressman Louie Gohmert and Neal McCoy are expected to be in attendance, the release states.
The event is free to all Vietnam veterans and their families, with a private ceremony commencing at 2 p.m.
