FALSE ABDUCTION REPORT INVESTIGATED
Palestine police officials said an alleged child abduction reported this week never happened. The case was reported Monday by a father and his 10-year-old daughter who alleged the girl was taken from a bus stop by a man with a hand gun, according to a news release from the department. The man allegedly brought her to an abandoned house several blocks away in a van. After several interviews with neighbors and the victim, the department determined the incident never happened. No word if those parties filing the erroneous report will be charged with a crime.
