Our U.S. Postal Service is on its way to ruin, and probably not for the reason one might think or may have heard.
It is because of an unfair law that was passed in 2006, that demands the USPS fund its retirement and health plans for existing and future postal service retirees.
The Post Office made money surplus every year until this law. This law is not fair to Postal Employees and not fair to “We, the people.”
Email and texting have not caused this crisis in the Postal Service.
This unfair and discriminatory law that was passed in 2006, and it can be easily corrected by the U.S. Congress by rescinding the law.
