Tyler Utilities closing streets in east downtown

Residents should expect some street closures today as Tyler Water Utilities cleans and inspects sewer mains east of the downtown area this week, according to a news release from the city.
The following streets will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Tuesday -- South Fleishel Avenue and Saunders Avenue between East Erwin Avenue and East Elm Street.
Residents living or working in this area will need to use alternate routes. Limited access to local residents will be allowed. Additional street closure information will be given each afternoon this week.
