Tyler highly ranked in national employment study
The Tyler area has ranked No. 2 in a new national employment study of the top 15 small metro areas with employment bases less than 100,000. Tyler ranked second to Bismarck, North Dakota. And Longview came in at No. 3 in the list --- which also included Midland at No. 5. Make sure to look for Casey Murphy’s story in tomorrow’s Tyler Morning Telegraph to read more about the criteria for these rankings.***

We're still below normal on precipitation
Despite the recent rainfalls, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service says Tyler is still just below normal when it comes to precipitation this year. She says the state is coming out of what is considered a 1,000-year drought, so it’s going to take some time to recover. Staff Writer Emily Guevara will have all the details in her story in tomorrow’s newspaper.
