MIDDAY UPDATE: Judge OK's Lon Morris final bankruptcy plan
LON MORRIS' FINAL BANKRUPTCY PLAN OK'D
A final bankruptcy plan for Lon Morris College was approved by U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Bill Parker this morning. The plan calls for payments to creditors, and former employees are expected to be paid in full. It's the final step in the asset liquidation process for the 158-year-old Methodist college, Texas' oldest junior college.
OLYMPICS DROPS WRESTLING
The International Olympic Committee announced this morning that wrestling is being dropped as an Olympic sport, beginning in the year 2020. It didn't take long for the protests to erupt. Just check #SaveOlympicWrestling on Twitter if you want to learn more.
EX-HARLEM GLOBETROTTER WILL BE IN TYLER
