Tyler ISD selling discount cards to benefit elementary schools
Discount cards benefiting some Tyler ISD elementary schools will go on sale this week.
The cards cost $10 each and provide buy-one, get-one free deals at 14 local restaurants as well as a $5 discount at Great Clips.
Participating schools are Austin, Birdwell, Bonner, Caldwell, Clarkston, Dixie, Douglas, Griffin, Jack, Jones, Orr, Peete, Rice and Woods.
Cards can be purchased at any elementary campus next week or from the family members of a Tyler ISD elementary student.
The proceeds of the cards benefit the critical need for discretionary funding for elementary principals and programs/recognitions they want to implement on their campus, according to a Tyler ISD Foundation news release.
The majority of the proceeds will go to participating elementary schools with 5 percent going to the foundation, according to the news release.
Cards can be purchased at participating elementary campuses this week or from the family members of a TISD elementary student.
They also can be ordered by emailing Larry.Goddard@suddenlinkmail.com and they will be sent by mail.
