TylerPaper.com video

Tyler police are asking for your help in identifying the man in this photo. The surveillance photo was taken before dawn last Wednesday at the Speedy Stop Shop, 900 West Front Street. Someone broke out the glass door of the business, and numerous packs of cigarettes were stolen from the display rack from behind the counter. If you can identify this man, please contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).***

A gunman opened fire this morning in a Delaware courthouse lobby just as the building was opening to the public for the day, exchanging shots with police and leaving three people — including the shooter — dead. Delaware State Police said the suspected gunman and two women are dead. The city's mayor said one of the women killed was the shooter's estranged wife, but police have not yet officially confirmed that. The shooting was not random, with the motive still to be determined.***

While other members of Congress are hosting gun-control advocates for Tuesday's State of the Union address, Texas congressman Steve Stockman has given one of his visitor's gallery tickets to Ted Nugent, the conservative gun-rights supporter. "I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama," Mr. Stockman said in a statement announcing the choice. "After the address I'm sure Ted will have plenty to say."***

Our Focus In On dot Me photographer Jan Barton covered Chris Mass, who was killed in Saturday's shooting at the Broadway Square Mall, extensively during his football and basketball career at Chapel Hill High School. She has posted a gallery of some of the best photos she took of Chris over the years. All of the photos are available for purchase.
