3 arrested for alleged role in storage tank explosion
From Staff and Wire reports

Investigators said a man and two women were charged with trespassing and criminal mischief after an East Texas oil storage tank exploded.

Van Zandt County Fire Marshal Chuck Allen announced the arrest of 24-year-old H.R. Price, of Mineola, 24-year-old Brandy Wolfe, of Grand Saline, and 25-year-old Heather Wolfe, of Van, after turning themselves in.

Officials have said two people allegedly were smoking atop a storage tank during the Jan. 29 blast near Van. Both were treated for burns.

Warrants were issued Wednesday for the suspects with bonds set at $150,000. All were no longer in custody Thursday morning, and jail records did not list attorneys for them. Allen didn’t immediately say whether the two women are related or who was on top of the tank.

Allen said the warrants were for criminal mischief-over $200,000, which is a first-degree felony, and criminal trespass of a critical infrastructure, which is a Class A misdemeanor.

All three surrendered to Van Zandt County Constable Precinct 4 Pat Jordan. Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Judge Scott Shinn arraigned them.
