Missing man found after police issue Silver Alert

A man who was last seen in Tyler on Friday was found safe Monday afternoon in Louisiana.
A Silver Alert was issued for Willie Hubert Wingfield, of Dallas, on Saturday after he was reported missing about 11:45 p.m. Friday, according to a Tyler Police Department news release.
Wingfield is a diabetic diagnosed with dementia, and family members told officers that he was driving from Dallas to Tyler to visit his girlfriend on Friday, according to Tyler police.

Wingfield reportedly stopped and called for directions to her home at about 5:30 p.m. at the CVS Pharmacy on Glenwood and West Gentry, the release states.
He was spotted in his car in Big Sandy in Upshur County Sunday evening.
The silver alert was canceled after he was found in Vermillion, La. around 2:20 p.m. Monday.
