Benefit for Chandler residents set February 23
Staff Reports

An event to benefit two Chandler residents seriously injured in an oil field explosion will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at Lago del Pino in Tyler.

It will include a live band, silent auction and a raffle drawing to help support William Lenard Crabb, 30, and Chris Barrios, 29, who were severely injured when a perforating gun exploded at a well on a ranch near Charlotte, south of San Antonio.

Several prizes will be included in the raffle and silent auction. Some of the prizes include free oil changes for a year, free gym memberships and free tanning.

Superior Pawn and Gun of Tyler is raffling off a new Savage Axis 30/06 gun with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting Crabb and Barrios. Tickets are three for $5 and can be purchased in-store or online at superiorgunand pawn.com.

Both men are hospitalized at San Antonio Military Medical Center.

For more information and to RSVP for the event, email benefitlinardchris@ gmail.com.

Benefit accounts for Crabb and Barrios have been set up at Citizens National Bank in Chandler.

Donations may be mailed to: Citizens National Bank, P.O. Box 127, Chandler, TX, 75758. A note should be made in the memo line as to who the donation is for as the men have separate benefit accounts.
