Next Step Coalition to host discussion in Tyler on ways to reduce underage drinking
Staff Reports

Next Step Community Solutions Community Coalition will sponsor a discussion at 11 a.m. today at Luby’s Cafeteria in Tyler on ways to reduce alcohol consumption among minors.

Coalition Director Kristi Roberts said preventing minors from consuming alcohol is a major initiative of the coalition and cannot be achieved without community support.

“The election is complete. The sale of alcohol is now legal in Tyler and it is up to us to get the word out to the young people in east Texas about the dangers of consuming alcohol before they’re 21,” she said in a statement.

The strategy session is open to all in the community, according to an announcement.

Next Step Community Solutions (formerly Sister Communities Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, SCCADA) is an incorporated nonprofit organization established 1984.
