Staff Reports

Wells Fargo Advisors presented a $3,000 donation to the Christian Women’s Job Corp of Tyler Thursday.

“This $3,000 donation will help in continuing the great work of the Christian Women’s Job Corp and is a small way of saying thanks to the Tyler community for their patronage & support,” said Greg Strnadel, Wells Fargo Advisor’s senior vice president and complex manager, in a written release.

Christian Women’s Job Corps of Tyler is a free educational program for women in the Tyler community with a financial need to work.

Classes are structured to include computer training, money management, boundary and goal setting, career assessment, resume writing, interviewing, job searching, business communications and a non-denominational Bible study.

Christian Women’s Job Corps has offered services to the Tyler community for the past 10 years and has served more than 450 participants in the East Texas area.

“We deeply appreciate Wells Fargo Advisors for their generous gift,” Kathy Gohmert, director of the organization, said in the news release. “This gift will really help with our efforts to help many women in the Tyler area to get job training in a Christian context so they may be equipped for life and employment.”
