UT Tyler opens applications for next class of its GATE program
The University of Texas at Tyler is accepting student applications for the next class in the Global Awareness Through Education Program.
GATE is a two-year program designed for incoming UT Tyler freshmen interested in a globally-focused, culturally diverse education, according to a university news release.
GATE offers internationally infused core curriculum classes, cultural activities and service opportunities.
The program culminates in a five-week study abroad experience the summer after a student’s sophomore year, according to the news release. This year’s incoming GATE class will travel to Italy.

Applicants must be accepted to UT Tyler. Submission deadline is April 10. Applications are available at www.uttyler.edu/gate/application.php.
Selected students will be notified no later than April 30.
