BREAKING NEWS: Officals seeking information on upshur county hit and run

The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking for a vehicle that ran over a man in Upshur County.
DPS dispatchers said about 8 p.m. Sunday a motorcyclist was lying in a roadway for an unknown reason when an oncoming older-model white single-cab pickup ran him over. Officers do not believe the truck knocked the man off his motorcycle, but after running him over, it did not stop to render aid, according to dispatchers.
The man was taken to East Texas Medical Center – Gilmer, where he died. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The accident happened on Farm-to-Market Road 726, south of Texas Highway 154. The white truck was last seen traveling south on FM 764 from FM 1650, dispatchers said.
