A.M. UPDATE: Early-morning earthquake hits Timpson

EARTHQUAKE IN TIMPSON
If you live in the area near Timpson and felt some shaking overnight, it wasn't a bad dream. The United States Geological Survey reports that a 4.1 magnitude earthquake occurred this early morning two miles from Timpson. It is the same location that has experienced several smaller magnitude earthquakes in recent months.

The epicenter was 25 miles north-northeast of Nacogdoches, 27 miles southeast of Henderson, and 42 miles southeast of Kilgore.

TylerPaper.com will update this story as the day progresses.

'DALLAS' RETURNS TO TNT ON MONDAY
Get ready for Who Shot J.R., round 2. You probably remember that Larry Hagman, the famed actor who played infamous oil baron J.R. Ewing on the Dallas TV series, died late last year. Hagman died as the shooting for the new version of Dallas, airing on the TNT cable network, was just five episodes in to its second season.

Producers say that to create a plausible way for J.R. Ewing to depart the show, he will be murdered -- but whether he is shot or meets his demise in another way is not clear. So maybe the catch-phrase will be "Who MURDERED J.R.?" The new season of Dallas begins Monday night on TNT.

LAWSUIT AGAINST MATCH.COM
Here's the story of a date that's probably not going to make it into one of Match.com's television ads.

Mary Kay Beckman first met Wade Ridley after the online service paired the two up in September 2010, and she knew him for only 10 days before breaking up with him. Four months later, according to Courthouse News Service, on the night of Jan. 21, 2011, Ridley hid in her garage and eventually attacked her, stabbing her 10 times and kicking her in the head.

Beckman is now suing Match.com for $10 million, citing negligence, negligent misrepresentation, deceptive trade, failure to warn and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

In a statement, Match.com agreed that what happened to Beckman was “horrible” but said that the lawsuit was “absurd” and that the site cannot be held responsible for the actions of one “sick, twisted individual.”
