Tyler Holiday Closings
Tyler ISD will be closed today for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The University of Texas at Tyler, Texas College and all Tyler Junior College campuses will be closed today for the holiday.
All state and federal courts will be closed today.
Smith County offices will be closed today in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. They will reopen Tuesday at their regularly scheduled times.
City of Tyler offices will be closed for today. City offices will observe the following holiday schedule on Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Holiday Garbage Collection
The Tyler Solid Waste office will be closed on today. Due to the holiday, residents whose garbage is normally collected on today will have their garbage collected on Tuesday and residents whose garbage is normally collected on Tuesday will have their garbage collected on Wednesday. Garbage will be collected on regularly scheduled days Thursday and Friday. The holiday will not affect curbside recycling collection.

The Tyler Parks and Recreation administrative offices, the Senior Citizens Center, the Glass Recreation Center and the Goodman Museum will be closed on today. They will all resume normal hours on Tuesday.

Gallery Main Street will be closed on Monday. The Gallery will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Tyler Water Utilities
The TWU Business Office will be closed on Monday. Anyone wishing to make a payment can place it in one of the two available drop boxes. There is one box located in front of the office at 511 Locust St. and a drive-up box in the Brookshire’s parking lot on the corner of South Broadway Avenue and Rice Road. The payment will be credited on the next business day. Please do not drop cash into these boxes. Payments may be made online at www.cityofTyler.org, over the phone by calling 903-531-1230, or at one of many businesses in Tyler.
