Update: Victims in Highway 31 wreck identified
Two people were killed in a wreck that blocked Texas Highway 31 East just inside Gregg County about 7 p.m. Friday, a Texas Department of Public Safety official said.
The victims were identified as Jason David Albright, 33, and Dulia Rolando Cervantes, 28.
Albright was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview and Cervantes was pronounced dead at the scene, Trooper Jean Dark said.
The highway was completely blocked on both sides and still blocked an hour and a half later, the DPS spokesperson said.
The wreck was still under investigation and no other information was available as of press time.
